DANIEL BRIGGS TPI LASER TECHNICIAN OF THE YEAR
At this year’s TPI Awards, we were proud to celebrate a huge achievement for BPM SFX - our very own Daniel Briggs was awarded Laser Technician of the Year 2025. Daniel was nominated alongside five other highly talented candidates and, while he couldn’t attend the ceremony due to being on tour with The Prodigy, his win is a testament to his skill, passion, and dedication.
Daniel’s journey with laser technology began after completing his Mechanical Engineering degree in 2011. He joined AC Lasers with Andy Thompson, where together they pushed the boundaries of what was possible in the live environment, working on countless shows across the globe. In 2023, Daniel became BPM SFX’s Laser Technical Director, continuing to innovate and develop creative new applications for lasers. We couldn’t be prouder of his achievements, and this award recognises not just his technical expertise but also his ongoing commitment to advancing the field of live event laser design.

Daniel wasn’t the only one recognised at the TPI Awards - BPM SFX was once again honoured as Favourite SFX Company of the Year, taking home the award for the sixth time and marking five consecutive wins. This recognition is a reflection of the hard work, creativity, and commitment of our entire team, who consistently deliver world-class effects and laser experiences on the biggest stages around the world.
Every member of BPM SFX plays a vital role in our success. From Project Managers, Coordinators, and Accountants to our Technicians, Warehouse Operators, and Technical crew, it is their relentless effort and dedication that make achievements like this possible. Winning this award for another year is a true team effort, and we are incredibly proud of everyone who has contributed to making BPM SFX a recognised leader in our industry.
SUB FOCUS
Awards season didn’t slow us down - March was another action-packed month filled with standout events, including a spectacular show for Sub Focus at Alexandra Palace. For this performance, our team delivered an impressive laser package featuring Kvant Atom 42 units, with some mounted on Wahlberg Winches and Lifting Columns to create dynamic, moving effects.
The system was installed by two of our skilled technicians, working in close collaboration with We Are Zeal, who handled laser programming and stage visuals. One of the standout elements was the projection of lasers from front of house onto the stage screen, adding striking visual depth and atmosphere. It was a perfect example of how our technical precision and creative partnerships come together to elevate live music experiences.
