PROGRESSING FORWARD
19 DECEMBER 2025
At BPM SFX, transparency is at the heart of everything we do, and our monthly articles are our way of giving those interested in our work a genuine and in-depth look at what we have been up to. Rather than simply showcasing the highlights, we want to offer a fuller picture of life at BPM SFX. We believe that the more people understand about us, the stronger the relationships we are able to build within our industry.
Each article is carefully structured around our slogan — What We Do — and covers three key areas that together reflect the full scope of our company. The first focuses on the innovation, creativity, and expertise, shining a light on the developments, technologies, and ideas that keep BPM SFX at the forefront of the industry. The second covers the people, culture, and community, celebrating the individuals and teams that make our company special. The third highlights the events, shows, and festivals we, showcasing the productions and performances where our work truly comes to life. This months coverage is as follows:
Product Video Production
What - The innovation, creativity, and expertise
Alica Bank Investment
We - The people, culture, and community
James Arthur Europe Tour
Do - The events, shows, and festivals
These articles are also shared on our LinkedIn page, where we provide the same updates to our wider network of industry professionals, clients, and followers. Whether you are a long-standing client, a fellow industry professional, or simply someone curious about the world of live events, we hope these updates give you a meaningful insight.
PRODUCT VIDEO PRODUCTION
During December, we set out to update our catalogue of SFX and laser content, leading to the production of new product videos across our entire range. Planning began at our Oak Mill HQ, with an initial test shoot allowing us to refine the creative direction and establish the look and feel of the final footage. With over 70 products to capture in just three days, detailed preparation was essential to ensure the shoot ran efficiently.
Production took place at Space Studios in Manchester, utilising the largest stage available to allow flexibility for set builds and camera movement. Custom sets were constructed using lighting supplied by Lights Control Rigging and Media Dog UK, photos capturing the production were taking by Luca Hill, and Josiah Murray joined the project as videographer to help achieve the high-quality visuals we envisioned. All planned footage was successfully captured, with post-production now underway. This project would not have been possible without the extensive planning and hard work of our in-house team, and we’d like to thank everyone involved. We’re excited to share the final results.
ALICA BANK INVESTMENT
December marked one of the biggest announcements in BPM SFX’s history, as we revealed that we had secured funding from Alica Bank. This investment will support our continued delivery of world-class special effects, while also allowing us to further develop our Oak Mill HQ into a truly world-class facility. It will also enable us to grow our team and continue scaling our global operations, setting the foundation for the next phase of our journey.
As we move into 2026, we’ll be sharing further updates on how this investment is helping shape the future of BPM SFX. We’re extremely grateful for the support from Alica Bank and excited about what lies ahead as we push boundaries and take the business to new heights.
JAMES ARTHUR EUROPE TOUR
Throughout December, we began our European arena tour with James Arthur, following a week of rehearsals in London that took place in November. Extensive preparation went into the production phase to ensure the tour launched to the highest possible standard. The tour opened in Lisbon and continued across 17 different countries, marking a significant run of shows across the continent.
For this tour, we provided stage pyro alongside Stadium Shots, helping to enhance key moments throughout the performance. The response to the production has been extremely positive so far, and we’re proud of the results achieved during the first run. We’re now looking ahead to the second leg of the tour, which will see us return and join James Arthur across various UK arenas.
