NEW ADDITIONS

25 APRIL 2025

At BPM SFX, transparency is at the heart of everything we do, and our monthly articles are our way of giving those interested in our work a genuine and in-depth look at what we have been up to. Rather than simply showcasing the highlights, we want to offer a fuller picture of life at BPM SFX. We believe that the more people understand about us, the stronger the relationships we are able to build within our industry.

Each article is carefully structured around our slogan — What We Do — and covers three key areas that together reflect the full scope of our company. The first focuses on the innovation, creativity, and expertise, shining a light on the developments, technologies, and ideas that keep BPM SFX at the forefront of the industry. The second covers the people, culture, and community, celebrating the individuals and teams that make our company special. The third highlights the events, shows, and festivals we, showcasing the productions and performances where our work truly comes to life. This months coverage is as follows:

Laser Audience Scanning
What - The innovation, creativity, and expertise

New Equipment from Suppliers
We - The people, culture, and community

Chase and Status
Do - The events, shows, and festivals

These articles are also shared on our LinkedIn page, where we provide the same updates to our wider network of industry professionals, clients, and followers. Whether you are a long-standing client, a fellow industry professional, or simply someone curious about the world of live events, we hope these updates give you a meaningful insight.

LASER AUDIENCE SCANNING

Following the advanced training our technicians completed in February, April marked the first opportunity to put their new skills into action. At the Blackstone Street Warehouse for the Second Speed all-day indoor rave, our team successfully deployed audience laser scanning for the very first time. The results were nothing short of spectacular, safely immersing the crowd in effects that elevated the atmosphere in a completely new way.

The system included Kvant Atom 42s and Atom 10s, each fitted with specialised lenses and Pangolin PASS, ensuring they were fully compliant and safe for audience exposure. This combination allowed us to surround the audience with light, drawing them deeper into the experience while delivering the kind of breathtaking effects they’d expect from BPM SFX. With this successful debut, we’re excited to expand the use of audience scanning at future shows over the course of the year.

NEW EQUIPMENT SUPPLIERS

With summer and festival season fast approaching, April was also about preparation and investment. This month we expanded our inventory with new kit from some of our trusted partners - including Magic FX, Luminex, Showven, Kvant, Galaxis and much more.

Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers who understand the demands of our industry. Their continued support allows us to deliver the scale and precision that our clients expect. With new equipment now arriving at HQ, our team is ready to take it out on the road and put it to work across an exciting lineup of summer events, ensuring every show continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

CHASE AND STATUS

The highlight of April - and arguably the year so far - was our 2025 arena tour with Chase and Status. Spanning two weeks and multiple major UK cities including Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Nottingham, Cardiff, Plymouth, and Bournemouth, the tour was a true showcase of BPM SFX’s creativity and technical expertise.

The production featured an extensive effect, including Galaxis G Flames, Magic FX Stadium Shots with confetti, and Kvant Atom 58 lasers. One of the standout moments came from our team’s innovative decision to mount the G Flames on Wahlberg Winches, allowing the flames to move dynamically above the audience. The result was an electrifying and immersive experience that left crowds wanting more. We’re already looking forward to joining Chase and Status again later this year to help create even more unforgettable shows featuring our SFX and lasers.
