EXPANSION STRIDE

26 JUNE 2026

At BPM SFX, transparency is at the heart of everything we do, and our monthly articles are our way of giving those interested in our work a genuine and in-depth look at what we have been up to. Rather than simply showcasing the highlights, we want to offer a fuller picture of life at BPM SFX. We believe that the more people understand about us, the stronger the relationships we are able to build within our industry.

Each article is carefully structured around our slogan — What We Do — and covers three key areas that together reflect the full scope of our company. The first focuses on the innovation, creativity, and expertise, shining a light on the developments, technologies, and ideas that keep BPM SFX at the forefront of the industry. The second covers the people, culture, and community, celebrating the individuals and teams that make our company special. The third highlights the events, shows, and festivals we, showcasing the productions and performances where our work truly comes to life. This months coverage is as follows:

Empire of the Sun Lasers
What - The innovation, creativity, and expertise

Welcoming New Members of Staff
We - The people, culture, and community

Silverstone
Do - The events, shows, and festivals

These articles are also shared on our LinkedIn page, where we provide the same updates to our wider network of industry professionals, clients, and followers. Whether you are a long-standing client, a fellow industry professional, or simply someone curious about the world of live events, we hope these updates give you a meaningful insight.

EMPIRE OF THE SUN LASERS

One of the standouts of June was Empire of the Sun’s three sold-out shows at Alexandra Palace, making them the first Australian artist to achieve this at the venue. Bringing the production to life required an extensive design and planning process, with our team working closely alongside the artist’s production crew, event organisers, and creative designers.

The final production featured a comprehensive range of effects, including Kvant Atom 58 lasers, including units suspended from Wahlberg Winches above the stage, one pointing down projecting onto the stage, while additional lasers were truss-mounted on both stage left and stage right. Alongside this, we supplied Stadium Shots and Viper DeLuxe units positioned within the pit, MDG Ice Fog Qs discreetly integrated into the stage design, and Eco2 Jets positioned across the downstage edge to maximise their visual impact. It was an absolute pleasure to work alongside everyone involved, and the final result was truly spectacular.

WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS OF STAFF

Over the past few months, BPM SFX has continued to grow, with several new members of staff joining our office, warehouse, and crew as we expand to meet the increasing demand for our services. As our projects continue to grow in both scale and complexity, we continue to deliver the high standards our clients expect.

While we're delighted to have welcomed a number of new faces to the team already, we're continuing to recruit. Current vacancies can be found on both our website and social media channels for anyone looking to begin or further their career within the live events industry. We're incredibly excited about the future of BPM SFX and can't wait to see what our growing team will achieve over the coming months.

SILVERSTONE

June also saw us return for this year's Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone as we provided SFX. Having previously worked on the event, it was fantastic to be invited back once again to. This year our team was involved across four key areas of the event, helping deliver spectacular moments for both those in attendance and the millions watching around the world.

For the Grid Ceremony, we supplied Stage Pyro and Eco2 Jets to build excitement ahead of lights out. During the Podium celebrations, we deployed custom-printed Formula 1 and Silverstone confetti through Stadium Shots and Stadium Blasters to create a memorable finish for the race winners. We also supported activity on the Main Stage, providing Hell Fires, Flameblazers, and Firewalls for Chase and Status' Saturday headline performance, alongside Stadium Shots for the closing moments of the show. It was another fantastic weekend to be part of, and we look forward to returning to Silverstone again in the future.
