At BPM SFX, transparency is at the heart of everything we do, and our monthly articles are our way of giving those interested in our work a genuine and in-depth look at what we have been up to. Rather than simply showcasing the highlights, we want to offer a fuller picture of life at BPM SFX. We believe that the more people understand about us, the stronger the relationships we are able to build within our industry.
Each article is carefully structured around our slogan — What We Do — and covers three key areas that together reflect the full scope of our company. The first focuses on the innovation, creativity, and expertise, shining a light on the developments, technologies, and ideas that keep BPM SFX at the forefront of the industry. The second covers the people, culture, and community, celebrating the individuals and teams that make our company special. The third highlights the events, shows, and festivals we, showcasing the productions and performances where our work truly comes to life. This months coverage is as follows:

These articles are also shared on our LinkedIn page, where we provide the same updates to our wider network of industry professionals, clients, and followers. Whether you are a long-standing client, a fellow industry professional, or simply someone curious about the world of live events, we hope these updates give you a meaningful insight.
CALVIN HARRIS HAMPDEN PARK
In July we joined Calvin Harris for two shows at Hampden Park, one of which was broadcast live on the BBC. Having previously provided SFX and Lasers for his other UK performances, this production was special as it was a homecoming show for the DJ. With weeks of preparation taking place at our HQ, our team worked meticulously to ensure every element was ready before travelling to the venue days in advance. Multiple safety checks, effect demonstrations, and a full rehearsal allowed our team to make sure everything was operating ahead of time.
The shows featured a huge range of SFX and lasers, including Magic FX Hell Fires and CO2 Jets, Galaxis Showtechnik G Flames, Explo SFX Wave Flames, Stage Pyro, Kvant Atom 58s and the new Laser Animation Sollinger μnreal 120s, powered by Pangolin Laser Systems. Our in-house Control Racks were also deployed to provide a reliable and efficient infrastructure for the production, with the shows culminating in a huge Display Pyro finale. We were incredibly proud to be part of such a major production and look forward to joining Calvin Harris again soon.
UNREAL 120 ANNOUNCEMENT
A major landmark for the future of BPM SFX came in July with the announcement of the latest addition to our Laser arsenal, the μnreal 120. This revolutionary unit has been designed to maximise both output and efficiency, helping to take Laser effects to new levels while opening new creative possibilities for live events. Its lightweight and compact design combines high-end specifications featuring 120W of power, dimensions of 34cm x 28cm x 22cm, a weight of 15.5kg, an FB4 interface, IP65-rated housing, 10mm / 0.8 mrad beams, and 38 kpps scanners.
We have already received 140 units, with further units actively being acquired as we continue to expand our Laser inventory. The μnreal 120 has already featured within some of our latest productions, and we are excited to explore everything these units are capable of. We would like to thank Laser Animation Sollinger for working closely with us throughout the acquisition process. We look forward to sharing more of what the μnreal 120 can achieve.
LEWIS CAPALDI
To round off July, we joined Lewis Capaldi for a number of shows, including his brilliant performance at BST Hyde Park. Having previously toured with Lewis towards the latter stages of 2025, we were delighted to be brought back on board this year.
Our role this time around focused on providing SFX to complement the performances, including Luminous Show Technology Hydra-Storm units alongside a huge Display Pyro finale to close each show. The effects helped add further scale and impact to the performances, creating memorable moments for audiences throughout the run. It was a pleasure to work with Lewis and his wider team again, and we look forward to joining him for his upcoming shows.
