EQUIPMENT INVESTING
28 AUGUST 2026
At BPM SFX, transparency is at the heart of everything we do, and our monthly articles are our way of giving those interested in our work a genuine and in-depth look at what we have been up to. Rather than simply showcasing the highlights, we want to offer a fuller picture of life at BPM SFX. We believe that the more people understand about us, the stronger the relationships we are able to build within our industry.
Each article is carefully structured around our slogan — What We Do — and covers three key areas that together reflect the full scope of our company. The first focuses on the innovation, creativity, and expertise, shining a light on the developments, technologies, and ideas that keep BPM SFX at the forefront of the industry. The second covers the people, culture, and community, celebrating the individuals and teams that make our company special. The third highlights the events, shows, and festivals we, showcasing the productions and performances where our work truly comes to life. This months coverage is as follows:
Diljit Dosanjh
What - The innovation, creativity, and expertise
Creamfields Staff
We - The people, culture, and community
Leeds and Reading
Do - The events, shows, and festivals
These articles are also shared on our LinkedIn page, where we provide the same updates to our wider network of industry professionals, clients, and followers. Whether you are a long-standing client, a fellow industry professional, or simply someone curious about the world of live events, we hope these updates give you a meaningful insight.
DILJIT DOSANJH
At the start of August, we commenced our UK and European tour with Diljit Dosanjh, visiting more than nine arenas and stadiums across the run. We were brought on board to provide a combination of SFX and Lasers that aligned with the artist’s creative vision, with a number of innovative concepts developed to make the tour feel immersive and distinctive. From the early stages of planning, it was clear that the production would be full of colour, energy, and life, with carefully considered combinations of effects.
One of the standout concepts developed involved combining Lasers with our Snow Machines to create a shimmering, diamond-like effect that complemented the overall aesthetic of the tour. Additional effects were also introduced for the two shows at Wembley Stadium, marking Diljit Dosanjh becoming the first Punjabi singer to headline the venue. It was a pleasure to be involved and we hope to be back again soon for more shows with Diljit Dosanjh.
CREAMFIELDS STAFF
August also saw us return for another edition of Creamfields, with this year marking the festival’s 25th anniversary at Daresbury Park. The weekend featured an incredible line-up including Calvin Harris, Disclosure, Sonny Fodera, Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, and many more. We were brought on board to supply a huge range of SFX across six different stages, as well as deploying our new μnreal 120 lasers for Calvin Harris’ headline performance.
With the event requiring several days of preparation, a significant amount of equipment, and large teams of technicians across the festival, we dedicated more than 40 members of in-house staff and freelance crew to ensure everything ran smoothly. Every member of the team played a critical role, from the preparation and loading of equipment through to operating effects across the various stages throughout the weekend. We are incredibly proud of the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism shown by everyone involved.
LEEDS AND READING
To cap off an intense month and close out the hectic summer season, we were asked to supply SFX and Lasers for ets from Chase and Status, Josh Baker, Gunna, and Skepta across Leeds and Reading Festival. Taking place over the same weekend as Creamfields, the two festivals required additional crew and careful planning to operate across both sites simultaneously.
Through extensive preparation, we were able to execute both festivals to the high standard we expect, delivering spectacular effects for each of the artists. The weekend featured CO2 Jets, Wave Flames, Atom 58s, Firewalls, Hell Fires, Stadium Shots, Performer Pyro, and a Display Pyro finale for Chase and Status’ headline set. We are incredibly proud of everyone who contributed and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of another Leeds and Reading Festival.
