BREAKTHROUGH TALENT
28 NOVEMBER 2025
At BPM SFX, transparency is at the heart of everything we do, and our monthly articles are our way of giving those interested in our work a genuine and in-depth look at what we have been up to. Rather than simply showcasing the highlights, we want to offer a fuller picture of life at BPM SFX. We believe that the more people understand about us, the stronger the relationships we are able to build within our industry.
Each article is carefully structured around our slogan — What We Do — and covers three key areas that together reflect the full scope of our company. The first focuses on the innovation, creativity, and expertise, shining a light on the developments, technologies, and ideas that keep BPM SFX at the forefront of the industry. The second covers the people, culture, and community, celebrating the individuals and teams that make our company special. The third highlights the events, shows, and festivals we, showcasing the productions and performances where our work truly comes to life. This months coverage is as follows:
Alton Towers Fireworks Spectacular End-of-Season Celebration
What - The innovation, creativity, and expertise
BTA Production Futures Awards 2025
We - The people, culture, and community
Wilkinson
Do - The events, shows, and festivals
These articles are also shared on our LinkedIn page, where we provide the same updates to our wider network of industry professionals, clients, and followers. Whether you are a long-standing client, a fellow industry professional, or simply someone curious about the world of live events, we hope these updates give you a meaningful insight.
ALTON TOWERS FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR END-OF-SEASON CELEBRATION
At the beginning of November, BPM SFX had the pleasure of joining Alton Towers for their Fireworks Spectacular End-of-Season Celebration. Working closely with the lighting designers and event creatives at Choreographed Chaos, we provided a bespoke laser solution for the show titled Alton Intelligence. The lasers played a key role in bringing the storyline to life, adding atmosphere, scale, and immersion throughout the performance.
For the production, we supplied Atom 58s and Atom 10s fitted with Pangolin PASS to deliver safe and compliant audience laser effects during key moments of the show. Pre-visualisation sessions at our Midlands office were essential, ensuring all three variations of the show were tightly synchronised with lighting, pyrotechnics, and other elements. The final result, was an impressive, immersive experience that resonated strongly with the audience. We’re grateful to everyone involved in the production and would love to return to Alton Towers again next year.
BTA PRODUCTION FUTURES AWARDS 2025
November marked an incredibly proud moment for BPM SFX as three of our technicians, Tom Lewis, Adam Bailey, and Zack Carey, were nominated for SFX Newcomer of the Year 2025 at the BTA Production Futures Awards. Each of them has made a huge impact this year, showing skill, commitment, and rapid progression, making their nominations thoroughly deserved.
On the night, Tom Lewis took home the award following an outstanding debut year with the company. We are immensely proud of all three nominees and delighted to have them as part of the BPM SFX team. Their achievements highlight the strength of our staff and our continued commitment to developing talent within the industry, and we can’t wait to see how they help take BPM SFX even further in 2026.
WILKINSON
Towards the end of November, we were brought in to provide a range of SFX and lasers for Wilkinson’s largest show to date at Alexandra Palace. Having previously worked with Wilkinson and delivered multiple shows at the venue throughout the year, including Sub Focus’ “Circular Sound” show in March, our team was well prepared for the scale and demands of the event.
Preparation began at our Oak Mill HQ before our in-house technicians headed to the venue to install the equipment in advance. To create an immersive and high-energy experience, we supplied Eco 2 Jets, G Flames, Atom 58 lasers, Smoke Socks, and Viper DeLuxes. The combined effects helped elevate the performance and create an unforgettable atmosphere for both the artist and the audience. We thoroughly enjoyed working on the show and hope to collaborate with Wilkinson again in the near future.
