BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend descended on Powderham Castle, Exeter in 2016, bringing three extraordinary days of world-class live music across two stages to one of the most picturesque and celebrated festival settings in the country. With a stellar cast of blockbuster artists performing their biggest hits to enormous and passionate crowds, it was one of the most widely anticipated events in the national music calendar. BPM SFX were proud to be part of the production, supplying SFX and Extras to help elevate the shows and performances throughout the weekend.

BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend is one of the most iconic and eagerly awaited events in British music, drawing artists and audiences from across the country to a single unforgettable location each year. The 2016 edition at Powderham Castle delivered a spectacular weekend of live music in a truly stunning setting. Our SFX were deployed across both stages to amplify the energy and excitement of every performance, while the Extras brought further atmosphere and visual impact to the production.
